Executive Team

Eithne Devine-Hynes

CEO

A change agent and business leader, Eithne brings over 30 years of experience in IT, working in large blue-chip companies and start-ups. She is focused on growing DeltaXignia through go-to-market strategy redefinition and expansion.  A strong supporter of the growth mindset, Eithne has continuously furthered her academic business qualifications, more recently gaining a diploma in Sustainability & CSR. She has taken over the leadership of the company from its founder, Robin La Fontaine, who led the organisation for 25 years.

Avtar Bratch

Sales Director

Avtar is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in selling critical and complex S/W solutions to industries worldwide. He has a strong background in building client relationships, understanding market needs, and driving revenue growth. At DeltaXignia, Avtar will lead the go-to-market (GTM) business plans.

Avtar holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and is Black Belt certified in Lean Six Sigma methodology delivering operational improvements.

Tejas Barhate

Head of Engineering & Service Delivery

Tejas holds an MSc in Advanced Computer Science with a specialisation in AI from the University of Manchester. Over 10 years at DeltaXignia, he has played a key role in the company’s growth, using his technical expertise and leadership to drive impactful projects. His knowledge has been crucial in developing innovative, scalable solutions that support DeltaXignia’s goals. Tejas fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration, keeping the team ahead of industry trends while ensuring strong service delivery and customer success.

Peter Anderson

Head of IT & Operations

A career built on a wide range of skills developed through extensive experience in IT operations, information security, and process management. A true Swiss Army knife, Pete brings versatility and expertise to everything he tackles. Over the years, Pete has managed on-premises infrastructure, deployed infrastructure to the cloud, and led the design and management of scalable, reliable IT solutions. He has contributed to certifications such as ISO 9000 & 27000, O-TTPS, and Cyber Essentials Plus, demonstrating dedication to creating secure, efficient, and compliant operational frameworks. 

Luke Poulton

Head of Product Management

An experienced technology leader with a robust background in driving product innovation and development in SaaS and enterprise software. Skilled at blending technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver products that exceed market needs and set new standards for usability and efficiency. Adept at leading cross-functional teams, creating strategic product roadmaps, and implementing processes that improve customer satisfaction. Known for analytical approaches to problem-solving, building strong stakeholder relationships, and turning strategic goals into results.

Tristan Mitchell

Business Transition Director

One could argue that playing ‘Arcadians’ on the Acorn Electron back in the 1980s was the real beginning of Tristan’s computing career. Tristan’s official education and passion for computing came in the computer science classes he took at high school, leading him to the University of Wales, Aberystwyth to complete an MEng in Software Engineering. Tristan has been working with DeltaXignia for over ten years, and in that time has contributed much, driving DeltaXignia to its place as a market leader in the content and data comparison industry.

Robin La Fontaine

Founder & Non-Executive Director

Robin is the founder of DeltaXignia. With a background in Engineering Science (Oxford) and a masters in Computer Science, his software career includes computer aided design and much of the DeltaXignia technology originates from this area – the management of change in electronic circuits is a complex problem where accuracy is critical. He has grown DeltaXignia from very small beginnings to a leading position with major corporate and public sector customers. Those that manage change well gain a significant competitive advantage.

    Released HTML Compare, enabling accurate comparisons of HTML and XHTML content, alongside enhanced move handling for improved precision in identifying and managing changes within our comparison solutions.

    A New Conversion Quality Checker

    Launched ConversionQA, a solution designed to ensure seamless and reliable data transformations.

    A Series of New Innovations

    Launched Content Compare to enable advanced content analysis without worrying about structural differences, enhanced table handling for more precise comparisons and merging, and introduced SVG comparison to support graphical data, broadening our capabilities in managing diverse content formats.

    DeltaJSON Launched

    Broke new ground with DeltaJSON, our first non-XML product for comparing and merging JSON files.

  • 2019

     

    XML Data Compare Released with REST API

    Version 10 of XML Compare saw a REST interface and we released a powerful tool for handling large and complex XML datasets with advanced alignment capabilities.

  • 2015

     

    XML Merge Launched

    Introduced XML Merge to handle merging of three or more XML files, enhancing collaboration workflows.

  • 2013

     

    Staying friendly with a new office

    We moved to new office at the Malvern Hills Science Park and installed environmentally friendly heat pumps for office heating and cooling.

  • 2008 - 2010

     

    New Products and Patents

    Launched DocBook Compare and DITA Compare.

    Secured two additional patents for advanced change management technology.

  • 2001

     

    DeltaXML Core Launched

    XML Core was released and we won our first customer who remained with us for 10 years. Our second customer has been with us for over 20 years as an OEM customer although the original company has been taken over by IBM.

  • 2000

     

    First Patent Filed

    Began developing cutting-edge technology for managing changes in XML and applied for our first patent.

  • 1998

     

    XML Standard Launched

    Marking a significant milestone as a universal format for data, we saw an opportunity to leverage our expertise in change management and apply it to XML. This inspired us to begin developing software specifically designed to address change management within the XML ecosystem.

  • June 1991

     

    Monsell EDM Ltd formed as a consultancy company

    Just founder Robin La Fontaine with contractors. We worked for a US standards organisation, the EIA, to develop an interchange standard for electronic designs, schematic and printed circuit boards, known as EDIF (Electronic Design Interchange Format, or the colloquial alternative Every Day Is Friday!).
